Not far from where I live there is a new estate called Pemulwuy. It is named after an Indigenous man who was “noted for his resistance to the European settlement of Australia” [Wikipedia]
Behind the estate is a hill, the shell of it’s former glory after decades of Boral digging it out for it’s Blue Metal. But the ridge remains and they have finally opened a park and lookout on the ridge and named it Marrong Reserve.
The lookout has brilliant views out across the Sydney basin.
